The Madison: While my pop picked this one as our next watch, we both really enjoyed it. Excellent writing and acting. Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer headline this cast and it's just a good watch. While written by Taylor Sheridan, who heads the Yellowstone family of shows and others, this series is just the opposite. While the language is similar at times, it's not action centric. And right or wrong I've likened it to a "chick flick". Just a good story. It's not a long season with only six episodes. Season 2 has already been shot and season 3 has been picked up, so we have those to look forward to.
Just curious... is it in the Yellowstone universe? Gotta admit... once you said it's the opposite of Yellowstone, it's not high on my list. That being said... I still need to watch all of the Yellowstone shows, so the list is pretty long.

DeleteMy wife got me to watch this, and as is usually the case she had good taste. The cinematography is absolutely spectacular, and as you say the acting is very good as well. My only complaint is that Sheridan portrays New York as a more dangerous place than it actually is, and clearly knows little about it (there's a scene where they can't find Michelle Pfieffer, and someone says there's nothing open in their area at that time of night, which most certainly would not be the case!). Still, well worth the time and I'm looking forward to Season 2.
