2014 Cryptozoic Sons of Anarchy S1-3: No secret I'm a big fan of Sons of Anarchy so it was only a matter of time until I opened some Sons' wax. Cryptozoic broke it up in to three releases - season 1-3, season 4&5 and seasons 6&7. This may be my favorite design of the three sets. This is the first day of of the Sturgis motorcycle rally so this seems like a great weekend to showcase the cards. We'll kick it off with the star of the show, Jax, played by Charlie Hunnam.
I like that the photos fill these cards while the logo and short teaser take up very little room. Katey Sagal, as Gemma, is the matriarch in this bike club saga while Clay is her husband and president of the club.
Three of the major club members in Chibs, Opie and Tig. Opie was maybe my favorite member of the Sons and best friend of Jax. Grabbed all these packs from a single seller on eBay for a good price. The sets aren't too expensive but the autos and relics are pretty pricey as are unopened boxes.
As President and Vice President of the club these guys were key to all directions the Sons went but they weren't always on the same page. Jax was too much of a thinker.
David Labrava "Happy" is actually a former member of the Hells Angels. The back provide a little context. I like these as they bring back context to the photos. "Bobby" also did a good Elvis show. This set was pretty simple and I didn't pull any of the few inserts possible.
Jax's lady. Wasn't always easy for them. Actually it never was. I really like this show but it isn't for everyone. It's pretty brutal and can be rough to watch at times. Still it is a good drama and I think many enjoy watching this bad boy and girl life play out on screen. The fact it lasted seven seasons is testament to that.
