2025 Patrick Mahomes Football Tin

Derrick Henry had a monster 2024 first season in Baltimore with 16 touchdowns and almost 2,000 yards.  He's a beast and looks good on this Donruss Optic Light It Up insert.
These tins almost always look cool and pull me in.  About the only thing I can do with them is put things like stickers or other randomness in them.  Still, I fall for these more than I should.  You'll get variety in the form of shiny card brands like Select, Mosaic and Donruss Optic.
Georgia Bulldogs alum Brock Bowers had a great rookie season with the Raiders despite their issues at quarterback.  He had 5 touchdowns and almost 1,200 receiving yards.
Here's the tin.  I like the look and the photo. It's black on the sides with Mahomes name and number in jersey lettering.
The downside to the cards is you won't get many.  I wish there was at least one fat pack or add in some smaller packs of Donruss and Score to give us a bit more.
Always some downsides to tins but I did enjoy this one.  It looks pretty nice, and I pulled a few good cards like this nice-looking Josh Allen My House insert.

Patrick Mahomes Tin (Prizm, Donruss Optic, Select)

Full slate of NFL games today.  Doesn't get much better than that.  These NFL tins showed up on the shelves last week.  I shouldn't buy these things but I get sucked in.  I picked up a Mahomes whom I really like so here I am...
These come with four packs of cards each having four or five cards each.  This 2022 Prizm pack had a great pull with retired greats as well as A-Aron.  How Rodgers does in New York is one of the big storylines of the 2023 season.
The 2022 Select Draft Picks cards are my favorite.  They don't have that generic silver or white borders.
I'm not a fan of 2021 Donruss so these 2021 Donruss Optic cards don't do much for me.  I do like the Elite Series Rookies insert of Josh Palmer.
I do like the look of these 2022 Donruss Optic cards.  Much better design.
Some of the remaining cards.  I really like that Stefon Diggs card.  Prizm and Optic really aren't my thing but I did enjoy this tin and the cards.  An impulse buy for sure.

Random Wax: 2021 Topps Baseball Mike Trout Tin

2021 Topps:  Surprised I hadn't shown this one off yet.  I'm a sucker for these sometimes and this was one I picked up two years ago.  My second Mike Trout tin as I also picked up his 2020 Topps Tin.  I also grabbed a 2021 Ronald Acuna Jr. tin which I showed off here.

This 1952 Topps Redux is the highlight of the pack. I like this design and of course having Ohtani on it always helps.  I'd love to see him stay with the Angels but no matter how hard they try in L.A. the team still struggles.  Will be interesting to see how that plays out as this is his last year under contract.
There were big hopes for Jo Adell two years ago.  he can still turn it around but so far his career has not lived up to expectations.
Machado has done well for the Padres since arriving in San Diego via trade in 2018.  Rumor is he'll opt out of his contract after 2023.  He'll be 30 at that time but will probably get more than the $32M per year he is on contract for now.
Never cared for the '86 card design but somehow I like it in these newer sets.  Nice Trout pull too.
Another Ohtani!  I'm digging my pull.
Fun team card.

A couple of greats from the game.  Never get tired of pulling either of these guys.
I really hope Tatis Jr. can bounce back from his suspension and get back on the good side of the baseball gods.  I became of fan of his when he was mic'd up during an all-star game a few years back.  He screwed up, no doubt, but I'm still rooting for him.  Same for Mookie even in a Dodger uni.
That Devers is a 70 Years of Topps Blue Parallel.
Anderson had no idea he'd be a World Champion by year's end.  He had a down year last season but was really good in '20 and '21 including the playoffs.
I paid $14.99 for this tin in '21 and I think it's a good deal.  Can't say I really know what to do with teh tins after the fact but hey I'll figure it out. Happy Friday!

Ronald Acuna Jr. 2021 Topps Tin

2021 Topps Baseball:  Found this at the same time I found Heritage last weekend.  I was hoping for an Acuna and Trout tin this year but the Trout was already gone.  An Acuna tin is a good consolation prize.  This had plenty of current great players as well as retired greats on retro designs.  I'll kick it off with Yadi on this slick looking '86 card.  Really good photo and a nice add to my Yadi PC.
We'll keep the retro theme going with more cool inserts.  Ryno is on a 70 Years of Topps insert.  That Arenado is a Chrome 1952 Redux.  Ozzie graces a Chrome 70 Years of Topps insert which is exclusive to retail tins.  Arenado and Ozzie are PC guys so two great adds and I really like these inserts.
The Twins are doing their best step back jumpers on this rainbow foil parallel.
While I like this year's design it feels pedestrian after those cool retro designs.
I've pulled most of these guys before in 2021 but nothing wrong with showing them off again.  Seems appropriate that I'd pull Acuna in his tin.
Plenty of good photos and cards found in this tin.
This is what the tin looks like.

The Cardinals have nice anchors at both corners of the infield after trading for Nolan Arenado.
League leaders.  'Nuff said.  Glad I was able to pick this up.  It ran $14.99 but I like the tins.   Fun find.

Mike Trout Tin - 2020 Topps

2020 Topps Baseball:  I'd been hoping these tins would hit my local Wal-Mart and they finally did yesterday. The only one I wanted was Mike Trout...and there was one left all the way in the back.  Phew.  Not interested in the others especially with Mookie Betts now a Dodger.  The tins come with an exclusive Chrome Decades' Best insert.  Appropriately I pulled these two Mike Trout cards which is great way to start.  I'm not a big Turkey Red fan but I will be holding on to this one.
Can't complain about my rookie pulls led by Bo Bichette and Fernado Tatis Jr.
Plenty of star veterans as well.
The Marte Turkey Red and Warren Spahn Decades' Best are both chrome.
A Red Sox Team Card and Padres Checklist card.
The Tyler O'Neill is a rainbow foil parallel.
Hoskins Highlight, 1985 Topps 35th Anniversary, and another Turkey Red.
Topps likes their horizontal in this set and these are some nice photos.
Just a few more to show off including a great Sean Doolittle photo.  I was so excited to pick one of these tins up and not have to resort to the secondary market.  Plenty of good cards as well.
