23-24 Marvel Annual: These hit the shelves at my local Wal-Mart and I grabbed a blaster. This Black Cat art is my favorite of the bunch. I think she'd be a good foil in one of the Spider-Man movies. Like all comic heroes and villains her history is complicated, but I see her as a fun "Catwoman" type character to Spidey.
I like the basic design of this year's set. The colors, art and look work for me.
Two of my Canvas inserts. They have a good feel to them but other than that there isn't much to say about them.
The backs are meh but not bad.
These are Blue Parallels which mean instead of seeing the art background you see blue. Not something I really care for.
Here we have Number 1 Spot, Backscatters, and Cold War inserts. Backscatters I really like. Hard to find a lot of information about this set but overall the set is pretty straightforward.
I like these but not sure I'll grab more blasters. The price point for only 30 cards is a bit tough. We'll end it with a nice-looking Summer of Symbiotes insert.

Nice. Theres a Silver Surfer Suspended Animation card in there I need.
ReplyDeleteAlways liked Silver Surfer's look. Never quite got into the Fantastic Four though.
DeleteBlack Cat and Wilson Fisk are the most interesting here.
ReplyDeleteRasputin as a woman is a ... choice, I guess.
The Rasputin card had me wondering too.
DeleteI'm a fan of Marvel cards. Haven't picked up any of the newer blasters, but if I saw them in my local stores I would. Unfortunately the Walmarts in my area don't carry trading cards.
ReplyDeleteThat's rough. It's fun, and tough sometimes, chasing wax in the wild.
