1999 Inkworks Sleepy Hollow Trading Cards

These are 1999 Inkworks Sleepy Hollow cards and another pack from Bob Rewak's eBay store.  I really like the movie so this was a good pickup.  I like the cards and the full bleed photos work well.  I'm not sure I'll pursue a complete set but I'm glad I gave these a look.
There were 8 cards in the pack and either show movie scenes or highlight behind the scenes elements.
The backs are pretty simple with a synopsis pertaining to what is on the front of the card.  It is standard stuff but it works well here.
I enjoyed these card's simple design and nice photos.

2013 Press Pass Racing Cards

I found this pack of 2013 Press Pass NASCAR in the Wal-Mart discount bin.  I enjoy finding NASCAR cards from years past and this is no different.  Plenty of stars from the sport and a good design make these a winner for me.  This Dale Jr. Hot Seat was the card that stood out to me.  While this isn't mid race he seems to be in the zone.  Overall I really like these cards and I'll look for more in the future.
Another Jr. card with his #88 National Guard car on this NASCAR United insert.  The base cards in this set include both vertical and horizontal formats.  This base card is of the reigning Cup champion Joey Lagano.
Base cards included those from the two NASCAR junior circuits including the truck series represented here by the Timothy Peters card.  I like the Over the Wall card I pulled.  One, it is of my favorite drive, Kyle Busch, and two it has a nice photo of the car.
Off Track inserts showcased drivers off the track.  This one looks to have 2017 Champion Martin Truex Jr. in the merchandise hauler.  That Kyle Busch card is a Magenta Color Proof parallel.  Johanna Long competed a total of five years in the Truck and Nationwide series with 2015 being her last year.  Danica Patrick is the most prestigious woman to race in NASCAR but it is great seeing others showcased and doing well.  Hopefully others will make it to the top circuit soon.

Denny Hamlin is another of NASCAR's top drivers landing in the top 12 of the standings in  all but two of his 14 seasons in the sport.

The backs are nice with a photo of the driver's car and some basic stats.  Jimmie Johnson (below) is a NASCAR great with seven championships to include five in a row from 2006 to 2010.

2019 Topps Heritage Baseball

Grabbed a pack of the 2019 Topps Heritage baseball.  I'm not a huge fan of this brand as the older designs and the head and torso shots don't do a lot for me.  This set is pretty true to the 1970 set it is emulating.  This BoSox World Series Champions card made this pack a winner.  I can't help but smile seeing these guys celebrate a well deserved championship.
Personal collection guy Jose Altuve was a nice pull in this All-Star card.  Ender Inciarte was the lone Brave I pulled.  They need him to be more of a spark plug at the top of the order like he was in 2016 and 2017.  This Baseball Flashbacks card is a 1:20 packs pull.  Pretty cool card and the inserts highlights moments/players from the 1970 season.  I like the colors and unique design.
The designs and colors here just seem a big flat.  Again the lack of action, emotion or character in the photos is disappointing.  I'm not saying these are bad cards - they just aren't for me.  I know many collectors are high on the Heritage brand and I'm glad they enjoy these cards.
I'll definitely add some singles from this set but this'll probably be my last pack.  I do like the backs.  Plenty of info and all the stats for the player's career.  And of course a nice little factoid.

This was the back of the Red Sox World Series Champions card and details team records.  I love that.  As a stat geek I love seeing this kind of stuff.  I'd hope they did this for every team but I can't be sure since this is a card specific to the World Series.  Seems like this would be good on a "team" card and does seem a bit random for a World Series Champion card.  Maybe show combined stats for the 2019 team or playoff stats or anything along those lines?

Random Wax: 2018-2019 Contenders Basketball

I picked this pack of 2018-2019 Contenders basketball the same time as the Hoops pack I just showed off.  Like that one, this one started off at the top of the NBA food chain with LeBron James.  Nice seeing him in his Lakers uni on this card.
It took me some research on Basketball-Reference.com but I figured out what the numbers are for this year:  Section=Weight   Row=Height   Seat=Year Drafted   The first ones were pretty easy but that last one had me stumped for a bit.
Maybe not quite the star power of the first two packs I opened but still plenty here to keep me happy.  All three of these guys are currently starring for teams getting ready for their playoff run.
Enes Kanter was picked up by the Blazers after being released by New York. He was a great pickup and gives them some quality minutes off the bench.
Dwight Howard has played only nine games this year due to injury. Picked up in the offseason by the Wizards it is a shame as he still puts up good numbers for a 33 year-old big man.

Random Wax: 2018-2019 Hoops

I've opened quite a bit of the 2018-2019 Hoops but I like this set and will probably open more in the future.  This pack really shines with some of the greats of today's game being right on top.  It was highlighted by LeBron James in a great photo.   My first James Hoops card of the year so I can check that one off the list.
The other big hitters are also some of the NBA's elite players.  That Celtics' uni is a favorite of mine.  I like that green and black combo together.  Harden's card has a great photo of him as well.  I hadn't pulled any of these three from this years Hoops so that really helped make this pack a winner.
One of my Hawks in John Collins.  He really is a good young power forward and I'm hoping he can be a part of the future anchored by rookie star Trae Young.  I like these Get Out of the Way inserts and Harden's take is a nice card.
You have to like what Buddy Hield is doing in Sacramento where the Kings are looking like a team ready to be a playoff team soon.  Hield is averaging 21, 5 and 2 while shooting 44% on seven three point attempts a game this season.

2013 Bench Warmer Bubble Gum

This pack of 2013 Bench Warmer Bubble Gum cards are another of the non-sport packs I purchased from eBay seller Bob Rewak.  Bench Warmer cards are of course known for highlighting lovely ladies and this set doesn't disappoint.  I purchased this some time ago and unwittingly pulled a future hall of famer in Torrie Wilson (below center) who is a member of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class.  Congratulation Torrie!
Each card front has a young lady with a sporty aspect that was anything from boxing gloves to a bowling ball.  I like the dual photos on front with a full color offering and a black and white head shot in the background.  I pulled one rookie in my pack.

The cards are a bit "bright" to me but overall I really have nothing to complain about.  No idea what I'll do with these cards but I still find it fun busting these packs.  Probably for the obvious reasons.  There are autos and relics to be found in these packs.  Boxes run for around $30 while sets can be found for under $20. You'll probably know a few names on the checklist to include Carmen Electra but I didn't know the vast majority of the gals.
The backs of the cards appropriately showcase the backs of the lovely ladies.  I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of information on the backs but had to smile when I notice they omitted the year from the birthday. For some reason the fact Torrie Wilson was in wrestling was omitted from her write-up.  Maybe a trademark thing or something.
No good reason for showing the back of this card other than I just really liked the back of this card.  I'm bad I know.

Random Wax: 2017 Donruss Football Hanger Box

2017 Donruss Football is a go-to for me and this is my 6th post on these cards of which I'm a fan.  This hanger box was in the discount section for $7.99 at my local Wal-Mart so I jumped on it.  This is the second Christian McCaffrey Threads card I've pulled from one of these.  In 2017 I pulled a McCaffrey Rookie Phenom Threads.  It is hard to tell but this is a Red Rookie Threads which is exclusive to the green colored hanger boxes.  I'd love to hit on a Mahomes at some point but he has eluded me so far.
The hanger boxes don't have quite the value of fat packs (at regular prices) but they contain a ton of variety in the form of inserts and variations.  I'm a big fan of Gridiron Kings and of Dan Fouts but I do think they could have found a better photo for his card.  Not sure about that look on Rogers' face either though it does seem like we've seen it quite a bit lately.
Gurley is always appreciated and will go straight in to my personal collection.
Tom Terrific.  Just saying.  I did grab a few cards that I'd already pulled in packs before but it didn't hurt my feelings any.
Love the retired great on new cardboard.  I also like the throwback uni Kirk Cousins is wearing on his card.
I'll never hesitate when I find these cards discounted especially in the hanger box format.  The variety and nice design keeps bringing me back.
