Random Wax: 2020-2021 Upper Deck Hockey

2020-2021 Upper Deck Hockey:  The NHL playoffs start today so let's do some Upper Deck.  These Canvas inserts are always a highlight of Upper Deck hockey.
Really good photos are a staple of Upper Deck and they didn't disappoint.
Again more good photos though a photo like that Patrice Bergeron would have looked good in a horizontal offering.  The backs are pretty nice as well.
Upper Deck hockey is always fun. Should be some fun matchups in the playoffs this year.  I'll be rooting for Calgary and Boston but would also like to see Toronto do well.

Random Wax: 2020-2021 Upper Deck Hockey

2020-2021 Upper Deck Hockey: Hockey season kicks off today so let's start off the season with a pack from last year.  First card up is two-time all-star Nathan MacKinnon who is also the 2019-2020 Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner.  That trophy is the NHL's sportsmanship award.
Not a favorite design of mine but I always enjoy Upper Deck photography.
Speaking of a nice photo.
Each pack comes with a Canvas insert.  The checklists are done well.  Anytime you can get photos on the front of a checklist it is a win.
Fun pack.  Wish I was more of a hockey fan but I always enjoy Upper Deck Hockey.  Hope to see the Flames and Bruins do well this year.

2020-2021 Upper Deck Hockey

2020-2021 Upper Deck Hockey: I picked these up in the Fall but somehow never posted any of the packs.  With the Lightning trying to close out the Stanley Cup Finals tonight this is a good time for them to make their debut.  As always Upper Deck does a great job with their photographs.
I call this a good pull with these three headlining the pack for me.  The overall design is ok but not a favorite maybe.
Another really good photo.
The backs with all their stats are what we all hope for.  Well other than bigger fonts but I'm not complaining when I get career stats.
Seems like Upper Deck went out of their way to nail these horizontal cards.
With only one insert per pack you are always hoping for the coveted Young Guns.  Vitek Vanecek played a big part in the Capitals' season winning 21 games, losing 10, with a 2.69 goals against average.  Always fun to open Upper Deck hockey and this pack was no different. Even grabbed a Calgary Flame in the deal.  Good luck to the Lightning tonight.
