Random Wax: 2021 Chronicles Draft Picks Football

2021 Draft Picks:  I really thought Trevor Lawrence was going to be more of a thing in the NFL.  It hasn't worked out so far.  I hope they can get him figured out.  He's only 25.
This set has tons of variety while concentrating on young players.  And a couple more quarterbacks who haven't panned out in the NFL.  Lance is now with the Chargers and Wilson is in Miami.  I really like the look of the Score design.
Bateman has been solid has a Ravens wideout.  Finally getting around to posting this pack.  Fun to let them "age" and see how it went.
At least Justin Fields...wow this wasn't the most exciting pack of rookies.  I purchased it in August of 2021, but it has not aged well.  It looked a lot more exciting back then.  I do like the Illusions look.

Random Wax: 2021 Chronicles Draft Picks Football

2021 Chronicles Draft Picks; Definitely a mixed bag with Chronicles but it is one of those brands that gives you lots of variety.  We'll kick it off with Atlanta Falcon rookie extraordinaire Kyle Pitts.  He didn't win Rookie of the Year but still finished the season with 68 receptions, 1026 yards and one touchdown.  He gives the Falcons hope and they need it as most of the roster does not inspire us fans.

Always happy to show off the maize and blue of the great Michigan Wolverines unis.  Evans only had 77 yards rush for the Bengals but that is understandable with Joe Mixon as their starter.  Bateman had a good year with 515 yards on 46 receptions for Baltimore while Chuba had 612 yards rushing and five touchdowns for the Panthers.  Many have thought he's gives Carolina a good reason to trade Christian McCaffrey.  Love that Score design.
Mac Jones and Ja'Marr Chase had really good starts to their careers while Trey Lance was mostly on the sideline last year.  Chase not only pulled in 81 receptions and 1455 yards with 13 touchdowns but also helped get Cincy to the Super Bowl.
Fun pack of cards.  Even more fun to look back and see how these guys panned out.  The variety alone is worth a look.  Najee Harris had a great rookie season rushing for 1200 yards and seven touchdowns as a Pittsburgh Steeler.

Random Wax: 2021 Chronicles Draft Picks Football

2021 Chronicles Draft Picks:  Here's a pack of Chronicles Draft Picks I grabbed back in August.  Zach Wilson has struggled as a rookie for the New York Jets but dude is only 22 years-old.  I hope he can develop into a good quarterback someday but quarterbacks with the Jets of late don't have a great track record.
I do like the Chronicles brand and all the different designs it includes.  These Score and Illusions are favorites of mine with that retro Score look being the one I like best.  Kyle Pitts was the #4 pick of the draft and has shown why as the #1 tight end/receiver for the Atlanta Falcons.
I like the Playbook design overall.  Ja'Marr Chase has emerged as Joe Burrow's favorite target in Cincy.  They played together at LSU which obviously helped that chemistry develop.
Both of these guys are having very good rookie seasons.  Najee Harris as the running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers while Micah Parsons has excelled as a pass rusher for the Dallas Cowboys.

A fun pack of cards.  I prefer the Chronicles regular set which contains veterans but I still like the variety this shows off.

2021 Chronicles Draft Picks Football Blaster

2021 Chronicles Draft Picks Football: I like Chronicles as a whole.  The concept gives you plenty of design options and multiples of players.  I grabbed these when I found them in the wild.  Also picked up a few packs.  The price on the packs were $9.99 which I wasn't expecting.  I'll show those packs off through the year. I like the Illusions cards and pulling a Trevor Lawrence pink parallel was a nice surprise.
There is plenty of variety in Chronicles.  I like the Score throwback look.  The Prestige are simple and nice as well.  The Mac Jones is a pink parallel.
The Select are decent looking cards as well.

Some shiny cards.  The Flux card is as annoying in hand as it looks here.  I don't get what they are going for though I'm sure some folks like it.
A Derek Carr relic seems very random considering he is the only veteran in the entire box.
This was a fun box.  It'll be more fun, assuming some of these guys end up doing well, looking back at this post in years to come.  I'd maybe grab a few more singles of these but I won't pick up more packs or boxes in the wild.
