Random Wax: 1990 Pro Set Football (4 Packs)

1990 Pro Set:   Jim Kelly is one of my favorite all-time Buffalo Bills.  Hall of Fame, 1X All-Pro and 5X Pro Bowl.  But more than that, he quarterbacked the Bills to 4 straight Super Bowls.  It's a run that will likely never be accomplished again.  He also played two successful seasons with the Houston Gamblers in the USFL prior to joining Buffalo.
Eric Metcalf was a 2X All-Pro, 3X Pro Bowl selectee.  Listed as a RB, he was an excellent pass catcher and great punt and kick returner.  He totaled 12 touchdowns as a return man.  I really like both the Jeffcoat and Sharper photos.
Great backs on these cards.
Just amazing cards with in-game photos from the Pro Bowl.
Fun coach cards with some of the best of the era.  Art Shell's time as a coach was mixed but he is a Hall of Fame tackle who played his 15 year career with the Raiders.  2X All-Pro, 8X Pro Bowl, 2X Super Champion, All-1970s Team.
This design was so simple and even without a team logo it just works.  That NFL logo with the Pro Set logo is a good look for me.
These Super Bowl Collectibles cards with art from the Super Bowl posters are great.
The backs are even better with fun information.
Reggie Roby was a great punter and known for that high kick as he punted.  He's a 2X All-Pro and member of the All-1980s team.
I like the League Leader and Award Winner cards.  Dalton Hilliard had 1200+ rushing yards (13 TDs) and 500+ receiving yards that season.

Random Wax: 1990 Pro Set Football (4 Packs)

1990 Pro Set: I have so much fun showing these off.  We'll kick it off with one of the greatest the game has ever seen.  He's also my favorite NFL player.  John Elway is a Hall of Famer and 2X Super Bowl Champion (1X SB MVP).  He took Denver to 5 Super Bowls and had a 148-82-1 record as a starting quarterback.
Ken O'Brien had some excellent years with the Jets twice throwing 25 touchdowns and over 3,600 yards.
I say it every time, but I'll say it again.  I love Pro Bowl cards with actual photos from the game.  These are great.  Bruce Matthews is one of the greats of the game.  He was a 14X Pro Bowl selection, 7X All-Pro and a HOF All-1990s team selection in his Hall of Fame career.
The Super Bowl Collectibles inserts are lots of fun.  I like the poster art on the fronts and the information on the back is great.
We get another hall of famer with Tim Brown.  He went to 9 Pro Bowls and was All-1990s Team selection.
Award Winner, League Leaders and Hall of Fame selections.  I love all these cards.  Linebacker Ted Hendricks is tied for the lead all-time in safeties with 4.  He was also a 4X All-Pro and named to the HOF All-1980s and All-1990s teams.
Charles Mann won 2 Super Bowls as a Redskin and 1 with the 49ers in his final season.
Nothing says I can't show off more of these since I like them so much.
Nice colorful backs with plenty of stats and information.
Some linebacker love including two of the greats from the Bills dynasty of the 90s.
A great coach pull in these packs.  Marv Levy took Buffalo to 4 straight Super Bowls.  The memories in these packs are great and so many legends from the NFL.  Too much fun.

Random Wax: 1990 Pro Set Football (4 Packs)

1990 Pro Set:   Rod Woodson had 17 interceptions in his 17-year career and is the all-time leader in interceptions for touchdowns with 12.  He was selected as an All-Pro six times and is a member of the All-90s Team.  His one Super Bowl championship came with Baltimore in 2000.
Lots of defensive love with some really good photos on these cards.
And he was an excellent kick returner.
Love the art on the Super Bowl Collectibles inserts.  This is art I remember as a kid growing up.
Love the facts on the back as well.
I was a big fan of receivers in this era and 2X All-Pro Roy Green was right up there with my favorites.
Award Winner cards.  I like these.
Definitely an all-time favorite set of mine.  Even with no logo, there's something about it.
Maybe it's the Pro Bowl cards with in game photos?
Always enjoy sharing these.  I don't think I have many more so I'll enjoy them while I can.

Random Wax: 1990 Pro Set Football (4 Packs)

1990 Pro SetBernie Kosar only had one, maybe two good seasons but you can't think of Browns quarterbacks without thinking of him.  In his best season he was 12-4 as a starter 17 touchdowns and over 3,800 yards passing.
Some really good photos here.  Hard to say if the Banks or Haley is my favorite but each are really good.
Not a great start to his career but obviously Troy Aikman landed on his feet.  The backs of these cards are really good.
A League Leader card and Award Winners.  I like both of these.
I love these Super Bowl Collectibles inserts.  The art has always been a favorite of mine.
Some big names in the league back in the day.  Mark Kelso was a high motor guy on defense who dealt with concussions and started wearing a padded helmet which eventually ended up in the Hall of Fame.  He had 30 interceptions in 8 seasons.
Coach cards are great too.  Jerry Burns took Minnesota to the 1987 NFC Championship game before losing to the Washington Redskins.
Absolute all-time favorite of mine.  Pro Bowl cards with in game photos.  Doesn't get any better.
These are always fun cards and one of my all-time favorite sets.

Random Wax: 1990 Pro Set Football (4 Packs)

1990 Pro Set:  You can't think of the great players of the '90s without thinking of Barry Sanders.  He led the league in rushing four times in his career while averaging 5 yards a carry over his 10 seasons.
Some great receivers.  Stanley Morgan is still the New England all-time leader in receiving yards at 10,352.  About 2,500 yards ahead of #2, Rob Gronkowski.  He is 4th all-time in receptions for the Pats.
These backs are great.  We get just about anything you could want including the AFC logo.
Super Bowl Collectible inserts.  Love the art they did for Super Bowls back in the day.
The backs were just as fun.  Bold move using the blimp used in the filming of Black Sunday.  Just saying.  Some filming of the movie was done during Super Bowl X.
Wilber Marshall played more seasons for Washington than Chicago (5-4) and was named an All-Pro and to the Pro Bowl while with the Redskins as well.
Always enjoy coach cards.  And we get the legendary Buddy Ryan.
Pro Bowl cards with Pro Bowl photos?  I've gone to heaven...
Ickey Woods dancing around officials.  Unfortunately, not the Ickey Shuffle.
It's fun seeing the Hall of Fame selections shine on cardboard.  Griese guided the Dolphins to two Super Bowl victories.  Hendricks and Buchanan were just beasts on defense.
These are so much fun.  Great cards and memories.  Like those classic Rams unis made even better with Jackie Slater wearing it.
