Random Wax: 1992 Triple Play (4 Packs)

1992 Triple PlayDwight Gooden's 1985 season was one of the best I've ever seen.  24-4, 1.53 ERA, 268 strikeouts, 16 complete games, and 276 innings pitched - all lead leading - enroute to winning the pitching triple crown.
Donny Baseball on a nice horizontal card.
Some catcher love all with good photos.
Paul Molitor running in his photo and he stole 504 stolen bases in his career.  He stole 40+ bases in a season 4 times. Fun Greg Harris photo.
Two of my Awesome Action pulls and a card back.
The first official night game at Wrigley Field was on August 9, 1988.
Three greats of the era and another fun photo.  Ripken was a 2X MVP and 8X Silver Slugger.

Random Wax: 1992 Triple Play (4 Packs)

1992 Triple Play:   In George Brett's 1980 MVP season, he led the league in average, on base percentage, slugging, OPS and WAR.  Reggie Jackson and Rich Gossage were 2nd and 3rd in the AL MVP voting that year.
With the Cardinals, Lee Smith had his best tenure with any team, posting a 2.90 ERA in 4 seasons in St. Louis with 160 saves.
Awesome Action!  Well, is it really when it looks like he missed the ball?
Always been a fan of this set and these are three of my favorite players from the era.
Cool card.  Never been there but I'd enjoy it I know.
Mascot, Gallery of Stars and Stadium cards.  I like all three.  The Phanatic's and SkyDome photos are great.
We don't like you either Kent Hrbek.  Overall, a really fun set.  Good photography and simple design that works.
Was the runner out or safe?
Another great photo on that Eck card.  No complaints about the Smoltz or Sheffield pics either.  This Awesome Action card seems to show the runner taking out the catcher who dropped the ball.

1992 Triple Play (4 Packs)

1992 Triple Play:   Bo Jackson was known for so many different things including his smile which helps make this a good-looking card.
Some greats from the game.  Triple Play was a low-end option for kids and collectors.  I've always been drawn to the design.
Horizonal options as well.  Even as a low-end product it gave us good photos.
Triple Play leans into the fun with some of their photos which I really like.
Awesome Action cards come in horizontal and vertical form.  I like these cards.
Little Hotshots are cool cards and this one showcases Dale Murphy.  I like their take on Diamond Kings with these Gallery of Stars cards.  Not a lot going on with the backs, but they are fine.
Five World Series championships for this guy.  His first was with Toronto in '92 and then 4 more with the Yankees.  He had a 2.12 ERA across 29 innings in World Series play.
More stars from the era.  I purchased a box of this off eBay and I'll continue to show them off four packs at a time over time.
Pretty cool photo.  I've never been the baseball Hall of Fame.
These are fun.  Lots of memories, great players and a good design.  A few of my favorite players from that time.  That Eck photo really is nice.
