Random Wax: 2021 Slam Attax (3 Packs)

2021 Slam Attax:  WrestleMania is tonight so lets look at some wrestling cards.  These fun game cards were UK exclusives that I bought two years ago.  Finally getting around to these three packs.  Kick it off with WWE legend Roman Reigns. 

I like all the color, photos and design.  I'll never learn to play the game but who cares.  These are cool and to me work well with the wrestling persoonias.

Plenty of inserts or subsets here.  Thank You Taker and Breakout Stars.  There are also Tag Teams in the set. I've seen shows with The Undertaker after he retired and really enjoyed seeing him out of persona and learning more about his career.

I like these belt cards.  Nothing special about them but it is all about the belt, right?

Pay Per View Booster, Legends and Raw Heroes cards.  I like the PPV Boosters.

My understanding is this show is based on one of the wrestlers and his involvement with The Fiend.  We'll end it with another Pay Per View Booster.  Fun cards and a great way to help enjoy one of the funnest days in wrestling.

2021 Slam Attax Alexa Bliss (Blue) Multipack

2021 Slam Attax: This was part of my Topps UK purchase back in July.  I first noticed the Slam Attax cards last year and this year I picked up some of the 2021 cards directly from their site.  With this Alexa Bliss multipack you get a a bronze, silver, gold or platinum blue Bliss card.  I pulled a silver. Alexa Bliss is my favorite wrestler so it was fun seeing something like this offered.

The cards have plenty of color and I like the design.  Slam Attax is a card game and due to copyright issues it can't be produced in the US.  While these are available from Topps UK the shipping from England isn't cheap and will take a while.  Six weeks for my order.  

Different types of cards make this fun.  

One oversized "Stone Cold" Steve Austin card is included.  These are really big and maybe three times the size of a regular card.  

You'll get to see plenty of stars from the US as well as the UK.  

Championship card.

These are fun.  They have a unique design specific to the game of course but it works for me.  Also plenty of variety and star power in the set.  I'll definitely look out for these again next year.  And we get a Hulk Hogan appearance.

WWE Slam Attax 2021 Blue Mega Tin - Alexa Bliss

 2021 WWE Slam Attax - I jumped onto Topps UK purely on impulse after seeing a few others posting some Slam Attax cards and these are just part of the order.  This Alexa Bliss Mega tin has 66 total cards including four limited edition gold cards.  Speaking of we'll kick this off with Australian Rhea Ripley who was the WWE Women's Champion for over three months earlier this year.  

I like last year's design more but I still like the quirkiness of these.  Slam Attax is a game but I have no idea how it works and won't look into it.  I love WWE cards much more than I should.  I have no clear collecting plan for wrestling cards, outside of a few PC wrestlers, and now I have quite a few more to add to the pile.  I purchased the Alex Bliss tin specifically and pulled none of her cards.

Lots of variety including retired greats.  You have to look at the checklist to determine what is part of the "base" set and what are inserts.  These are all part of the the "base" set of cards numbered 1-368.

Again more variety including cards of UK specific wrestlers.  I find it weird these are only on the Topps UK site.  Why don't they sell these stateside?  Shipping was about $17.50 for my total order and they took about six weeks to be delivered.  This tin was ~$18.

Again the variety is a big part of the appeal.
