Scream 7

Scream 7:  I'm a big fan of the Scream franchise and really enjoyed this one.  Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox are back and take on big roles in the movie.  In ways it felt more like the original than some of the others but that isn't a knock on the other movies in the franchise.  Bottom line is I enjoyed this movie.  It'll has twists and turns which played into many of the rumors leading into the movie's release.  I really liked Isabel May's part in the movie as well.  I say give this one a watch.

Scream VI (2023)

Scream VI:   Happy Halloween!  I'm a Scream guy and somehow, I never watched this after it came out last year.  I remember wanting to watch it in the theater which I obviously never did nor did I watch it via streaming.  It somehow fell off my radar after that - FAIL.  I really enjoyed Scream VI.  I liked the 2022 Scream "requel" and I really liked this one as well.  Not a ton of setup and the movie jumped straight into the action.  The "Core Four" from the 2022 movie are back and going to college in New York.  Ghostface comes after them once again.  While the possible murder suspects is normally fairly small, it's still not a slam dunk on who is behind the mask.  And it's almost impossible to know the "why".  This movie has tons of direct nods to the past movies which is fun.  There are some things I wish they had done differently but I can say that every movie.  I really enjoy the characters/actors in the last two movies.  A thumbs up from me and say watch it.

Sounds like the next Scream installment will drop in early 2026.  Unfortunately, the main characters from the last two movies, Sam and Tara Carpenter, will not be returning due to various reasons.  We'll see Sydney back as the Final Girl.  Mixed feelings on that as I really enjoy where the franchise is today.  I'll continue to shame myself for not watching this last year when it came out.  My grandsons, not of age to watch the movie, were the ones who actually got me to watch it by asking me all kinds of question about Scream VI.  If they hadn't been so nosy I wouldn't have looked back at the movie.

Scream (2022) (NO SPOILERS)

Scream (2022): I'm a big fan of Scream.  The sequels, like in most movie franchises, don't do it justice but I'm still in.  I was able to get away to see the newest part of the franchise yesterday.  This one does something we've seen before in other franchises where there is a combination of the established characters as well as newer younger characters who I assume will help carry the torch moving forward.  I hardly ever see horror movies in the theater.  I really enjoyed getting to see this in on the big screen.  I enjoyed it and would rank it behind the first one.  There was nothing groundbreaking in this movie but it was fun to watch.  You can always nitpick but I just wanted to be entertained and I was. They did a good job with showcasing new characters while taking us back to what we enjoyed. Just wanted to throw out a few words and would like to hear what others think if they've gotten to see it.

8" Ghost Face Figure by NECA

NECA Ghost Face 8" Figure: I'm a big fan of Scream and I didn't grab one of these figures when they came out years ago.  I saw this one being released and jumped on it.  Not that I have many horror figures but this is still one that always stood out to me.  This is the 8" NECA released not to get confused with the 7" Ultimate Ghost Face NECA released around the same time this year.

This figure comes with a different hand to allow him to hold the voice changer which can be seen in these two photos.
I like the robe.  It has a good feel and look to it.  It also doesn't cause any issues when posing the figure.

Of course the knife is where it's at.  I picked this version of the figure because there is no blood on the knife that comes with the figure.  Overall this is a good action figure and fun to photograph.  It's pretty easy to pose and will stand on it's feet without assistance.
Just wanted to share this guy and maybe you'll run in to one or two tonight.  Have a safe and happy Halloween!
