2008 Bench Warmer Limited

2008 Limited: Been a while since I've done a Bench Warmer post so let's do this.  This card is my favorite from the pack and a good place to start...not sure there are any bad cards to start with.  You'll notice Shay Lyn is an All-Star.  Also, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  You can find more information at the National Breast Cancer website.
My first time seeing these, but this is one of my favorite Bench Warmer designs.  The extra muted photo in the background and the colors make it work for me.  We even get Bench Warmer Rookie Cup cards.  Sometimes we get a sport'ish vibe like Martina Andrews' card.
The backs look good and as we've seen with some other Bench Warmer designs, we see the ladies' backsides showcased as well.
There were two International inserts.  Here we have the fronts and backs.  I wish there was more color in line with what the base cards do but not a real complaint.
These are a fun diversion.  Hope you enjoyed.

Random Wax: 1997 Bench Warmer with Autograph

1997 Bench Warmer:  A pack I snagged off eBay from one of my favorite sellers of non-sport packs, Bob Rewak.  Always fun pulling an auto and Anita Hart is a cutie.  She is a stuntwoman, actress and model.  I believe this is her only autographed card.
October is when breast cancer awareness is at the forefront so these posts, while 99.9% a guilty pleasure, also allow me to bring up this important subject.  More information can be found at the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
One of the simplest designs you'll find but it works.  I like the Bench Warmer color logo and the fact the rest of the card is all about the ladies.
The backs are just as much fun.  A different photo of the ladies found on the front.  Nikii Ziering and Brooke Burke, a personal favorite, are names many will find familiar.
These sets are always fun.  Doesn't matter what the ladies are doing - working out, lounging or enjoying time on the water.
Never complain when two pretty gals are sharing a card.
Some of the colors and clothing help date these but this was all in my wheelhouse growing up.
I hope you enjoyed as much as I did.

2002 Bench Warmer with Autograph

2002 Bench Warmer:  This pack was a winner for more than the obvious reasons.  I pulled an autograph of Ms. Katie Lae.  Not sure what she is up to these days but it's always fun to find an auto when opening wax.  I like to add these to my October blogging as one, I do like this genre of cards and October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Make sure you are checking out Collecting Cutch's Save Second Base campaign.  He does this every October on his blog to up breast cancer awareness.  Check out what he does and you can visit the National Breast Cancer Organization to donate or get educated.
The ladies really do stand out on these cards but the design needs some color to it.  They've done a good job of doing that in other designs.  You can see those I've posted here.  I do think the Bench Warmer logo is a really nice but again I don't think it would take much to add some splash to the card without detracting from the ladies.  Like you really could.
That first back of from a Preview Card.  The others are standard backs that contains stats and information about the modes.  Pretty corny but it works.
This Replay Card and Bonus Card seem to be part of the base set with no difference other than the circle logo in the corner.  I prefer the basic Bench Warmer logo.
Fun cards and nice looking ladies.  I hope you enjoyed.  Make sure you're checking out Cutch's blog year round.

1997 Bench Warmer

1997 Bench Warmer:  You're thinking what is this post so close to Halloween?  It's also near the end of the Collecting Cutch blog's annual Save Second Base campaign bring awareness to breast cancer. awareness month.  If you are so inclined donations can be made at the National Breast Cancer Foundation page.  We'll start off this post with the very pretty Cindy Margolis.
This set has the lovely Bench Warmer ladies lounging about after a hard day of warming the bench?  Sorry.  Had to.
The design is fairly simple and it works.  Let the ladies shine on the whole of the card.  That Bench Warmer logo doesn't block anything of note on the photos.
The backs are vey simple but still appealing.  No write ups here.  Just another look at the lovely ladies.
Small pack but it does it's job.  Always fun looking at the Bench Warmer gals and sharing these cards.  I always keep my eye out for packs of these from different years so there'll be more of these in the future.

2011 Bench Warmer Bubble Gum

2011 Bench Warmer Bubble Gum: These are perfect for October.  Why?  Because the Collecting Cutch blog is doing his annual Save Second Base campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer (October is breast cancer awareness month).  So you really can't go wrong with any of these cards but we'll start with Paige who looks to be a basketball fan and we are in the middle of the NBA Finals.
Another NBA fan while Jessica just looks all sporty.  The designs here are pretty simple but it's hard to screw up lucky ladies like these.  Really I do like the clean look that shows off the ladies.
The backs are easy to look at as well...on both accounts.  There are stats, a face close up and another full size photo.  Again this is a pretty clean look and I'm on board with it.
You'll see Bench Warmer cards incorrectly spelled as Benchwarmer at times.  A look at the Bench Warmer site will set you straight.  Also this particular set sometimes isn't listed as Bubble Gum but again the site has information available.  And the packs of these do contain wrapped pieces of gum hence the name.  These are always fun and I'm never bummed out opening Bench Warmer packs.  This one isn't my last for the month.  Because I'm supporting Collecting Cutch of course...

2013 Bench Warmer Bubble Gum

This pack of 2013 Bench Warmer Bubble Gum cards are another of the non-sport packs I purchased from eBay seller Bob Rewak.  Bench Warmer cards are of course known for highlighting lovely ladies and this set doesn't disappoint.  I purchased this some time ago and unwittingly pulled a future hall of famer in Torrie Wilson (below center) who is a member of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class.  Congratulation Torrie!
Each card front has a young lady with a sporty aspect that was anything from boxing gloves to a bowling ball.  I like the dual photos on front with a full color offering and a black and white head shot in the background.  I pulled one rookie in my pack.

The cards are a bit "bright" to me but overall I really have nothing to complain about.  No idea what I'll do with these cards but I still find it fun busting these packs.  Probably for the obvious reasons.  There are autos and relics to be found in these packs.  Boxes run for around $30 while sets can be found for under $20. You'll probably know a few names on the checklist to include Carmen Electra but I didn't know the vast majority of the gals.
The backs of the cards appropriately showcase the backs of the lovely ladies.  I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of information on the backs but had to smile when I notice they omitted the year from the birthday. For some reason the fact Torrie Wilson was in wrestling was omitted from her write-up.  Maybe a trademark thing or something.
No good reason for showing the back of this card other than I just really liked the back of this card.  I'm bad I know.
