2010 NECA The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

2010 Eclipse:  Edward was one of the main characters of The Twilight Saga being one of the competing love interests for Bella.  He was played by Robert Pattinson who has gone onto a very good acting career. He was also in one of the Harry Potter movies and is now Batman.
Alice was one of my favorite characters in the book and movies.  The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was the third of five movies in the series.
The design is pretty simple, but I like it.  Lots of room for the photo.  The Twilight Saga as a whole did over $3.3B at the box office.
The backs have another nice design and the brief description of the front works.
I know sparkly vampires aren't for everyone.  I became a fan through my daughter who loved the books and liked the movies. I remember going to a midnight release of the final book in the series.  I read the books as well.  The series and movies are clearly geared towards a different audience than me, but I am good with both.
The final card was part of the Wolfpack Puzzle.  Glad I checked these out.  They do a good job of representing the movie and overall mood with the design.  Fun cards and a good set to look at in October.

2009 NECA The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Twilight: New Moon:   Today is the start of spooky season.  We'll kick it off with vampires...sparkly vampires... The Twilight Saga was huge, right?  They nailed it by appealing to the young readers who went gaga over the series and translating them into very successful movies.  Bella of course is at the center off all the chaos in the movie as the main character.  The first 27 cards in the set are what I would call character card.
The base design is good.  It has a haunting feel to it and works for the movie.  Here we have Edward, Bella and Aro.
The backs of the non-character cards are simple but I think they look really good while doing a good job of setting up the screen grab from the front of the card.
New Moon took home $711M at the box office in 2009.
The back of the first card I showed off.  Another good back in my opinion.
I've read all the books and seen all the movies.  They are fine and I found them enjoyable.  It is geared towards a younger generation but my daughter was a huge fan so I read the books help me stay up with all the happenings.  During the time of the books you might have seen lots of Team Edward or Team Jacob references.  Above is Jacob with Bella.
Alice was one of my favorite characters.  She could see the future at times and was just good fun character.
Aro is leader of the Volturi who oversees the vampire world.  I like his character and his look as well.  These cards are fun for what they are and a good way to kick off October.

2012 NECA The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Trading Card Pack

Most of you are probably shaking your head right now.  Twilight?   Yeah Twilight. My daughter was a huge fan back in the day so yep I've seen all the movies...and read all the books.  It was OK for what it was.  Nothing more nothing less.  I picked up this 2012 NECA The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 pack up as part of the buy I did from from eBay seller Bob Rewak.  Alice leads off this post.  She was a favorite character of mine from the series and this was definitely my favorite from the pack.
The set contains character, story and poster cards.  I'm OK with the cards overall.  This was the final Twilight movie and we got to see the big battled we'd been expecting.  It was a decent fight though how it played out in the end didn't appeal to everyone.
The Volturi were antagonists and I liked their characters.  Dakota Fanning's character Jane (far left) was another favorite of mine.  Overall Twilight was designed for tweens and was fine for that audience.  The books were an easy read and the sparkly vampires, werewolfs and love triangle appealed to it's target audience.
