2023 Contenders: Christian McCaffrey didn't get a Super Bowl win last season, but he did get the AP Player of the Year award after leading the league with 1400+ rushing yards and 21 total touchdowns. McCaffrey is a favorite of mine. Feels like he's been around forever but he's only 27.
I historically enjoy Contenders and I do like this year's design. It keeps their fairly standard points they like to hit with Contenders but overall a nice looking card. That Lamar Jackson is a Red Parallel.
Rookies come in different options including Draft Class Contenders, Rookie Stallions and Round Numbers.
We always want more stats but overall, these aren't bad backs. Very colorful and they have what we are used to today. There are 100 veteran cards in this set so there's a good chance of having a good pull like I did here.
Not a bad Rookie Ticket Swatch. I'll be curious to see what Bijan Robinson does with a better quarterback under center. As a reminder, SEC, Row and SEAT are the player's weight, height and jersey number.
The Historic Draft Class inserts are a great way to see retired greats. I like the look and wish there were more opportunities to see these past greats on new cardboard.
We'll end it with some of the great pass catchers in the league. Fun box of cards and plenty of stars from the league. I'll definitely grab more of these.
BREAKDOWN:

Burrow with the white helmet is cool! Might need to find a card of his with him in white!
ReplyDeleteYou know there's one out there somewhere.
DeleteI agree. It feels like it's been a long time since he was playing for the Cardinals.
ReplyDeleteI never knew that.
ReplyDeleteAlthough you only showed the back, I have to go with the TJ Watt as the best card. He is going to have a monster 2024 season for the Steelers.
ReplyDeleteI hope he does.
