Sleepaway Camp

Sleepaway Camp:   I doubt many folks are familiar with this one.  It seems straightforward as it follows a young girl at summer camp.  Soon bad things start happening to staff and campers.  Seems straightforward and much of the movie is forgettable though it does have some moments that are strange and some that'll make you cringe.  Many might not make it through this movie.  But the ending.  Definitely a "what the heck" moment.  Didn't see that coming.  Is it worth watching the entire film to get there?  I don't know.  Some say really good things about the movie so maybe it's best you decide on your own.

    I've been watching 70s and 80s horror flicks all week. Phantasm, House among others. Is this streamable?

    I don't know about today, but this picture was very well-known to horror fans back in the 80's/early 90's; hard to find, but certainly not obscure.

      I'm not sure how well known it is. I have yet to talk to anyone who is familiar with it. I'm really curious what others think.

    I watched and reviewed this last year. Wasn’t an overall fan of the movie even though it’s often held in high regards within certain segments of horror fans. The ending is shocking, I’ll give it that, but it’s not an image I want stuck in my head!

    I saw it last night on Tubi Tv. Definitely an early 80s pic lol. Odd flick but enjoyable. Don't want to give anything away in case someone else out there wants to watch it.

    Thanks for sharing this wonderful article. Last time my kids are went to the One Week Sleep-away Camps and they enjoy and learned many things
